The darn blogger didn't put the pictures in the right order...oh well. Here are the kids playing in the sand with the little toy dinosaurs. I think the point was that they were supposed to use the water and the sand to find a way to bury the dinosaurs to help them understand how they would have died and their bones preserved for us to find...a bit beyond their level though. :)

There is good old T-Rex.

Here they are being paleontologists and using their paint brushes to "undig" the dinosaur bones.

This one was supposed to be first. Owen was kind enough to drive us all the way to the museum. :P

I find it very interesting the way he looks at his daddy. All the kids have loved daddy, of course, but Owen just seems fascinated with him and stares at him in admiration every chance he gets.

I think Tyler's favorite part was seeing all the fish. It could be though that it's just because he can say "fish" and not "dinosaur".

This one was huge....it's a supersaurus, which I thought was fitting. I'm guessing it's some sort of relative of the brontosaurus. When the kids are as little as ours there is no time for actually reading the plaques etc that go along with the exhibits.

At this place you would push the button and it would light up a dot on the map, showing where the dinosaur had been found. Tyler loved it! He was even able to find the lights that he was turning it, very cute. :)
So, as you can see we decided against running around naked in our backyard, mostly because it was only 50 degrees and rainy outside. The museum was tons of fun and the kids enjoyed it more than I thought they would. There was tons to see, but the museum was actually quite small. They shoved a ton of stuff in a very small space. It would have been a bit more enjoyable if the museum were physically bigger.

Very cool. It looks like it all went well. Did you purchase potty cookies for the trip?
Thanks for all the pictures! I actually voted, twice, for you to run around naked. But, it looks like Thanksgiving Point was probably funner. Your kids looked like they had a blast. I love the picture of Owen driving. I'm glad you all had a fun time.
I'll definately make you a pizza cookie when you come to lincoln.
