Saturday Fun

Kevin borrowed our friend's tractor again to grade some of our lawn. We got rid of an ugly railroad tie retaining wall and just made the grass slope. It looks so much nicer. Owen liked the tractor as long as it didn't go too fast.

We also tried to take out some of our many "extra" trees. We got a few of them out with the tractor...

But for the big ones we had to get the Jeep out to get rid of them.

We had a whole orchard of plum trees and they were in very random spots. We took out the ones that were weird and that didn't give us any decent fruit last year.

This is our pile of trees, though I took this before the pile was complete.

We were all outside for most of the day and I'm the only one that really got burned. The kids have pinker cheeks than usual, but my face, arms, neck and feet got burned.

We also promised them a pool. So we took a family trip to Walmart and bought one. Nothing fancy and I'm sure you'll get to see it soon. Kevin also added a hot water hose bib, so the kids can play in a warm pool instead of a freezing one...lucky kids.
