I can never get the pictures in quite the right order. Oh well. Yesterday our little Owen turned 2!! I can't believe it. He had fun getting to lick the frosting off of the toys on his cake.
I did not feel like making a cake for Owen so I just ordered one from Wal Mart. This was the only McQueen cake they had. It was delicious.
He really does like his Sit N Spin, but he likes the tractor he got more and was upset that we made him stop playing with it just long enough to try and take a picture.
The above mentioned tractor. I knew he'd like it, but I didn't realize how much. He has spent every waking moment playing with it since Sunday morning. He gets really upset when he has to stop to eat or take a nap. I hope that doesn't last long.
He opened all of his presents by himself. I thought he'd need some help, but he figured it out all on his own. Way to go!
Saturday, Kevin was working, it was a nice day and I wanted to get out of the house. I decided to take the kids to Fillmore. The original capital of the Utah Territory. This is the statehouse that was built around 1850.
I tried to get a better picture, but the room was so tiny I couldn't back up any farther.
I showed this picture to Kevin and he thinks that we need to go back to our jails being more like this. lol
Oops...sideways. I really wish they had an option to move the pictures. Hopefully you won't hurt your necks too much.
After I had my fun there. I took the kids to lunch and then they got to play at the park for a bit. One of the best parts of the trip was that I got to legally drive 80 mph on the freeway, as they are testing it out to see if they want to permanently up the limit to 80 between Nephi and Cedar City. It was only for a 20 mile stretch, but it was fun.
