Kevin tried to take the old finish off the floors with the regular big sander thing (lol) but it was taking forever, so he had to go back to Home Depot and rent a belt sander. That worked, though it took off quite a bit of the wood floor in the process.
And here they are all finished, we are just finishing letting them dry. 6pm tonight we can finally walk on them. Kevin chose a Satin finish because he didn't want there to be too much shiny with the floors and the counter tops. Its very different from what I've seen before, but I think I like it. Or it just might be that I don't want to have to wait another 24 hours to get to walk on my new floor. :)

Shiny!! That's another thing on our "to do" list. And that's the first comment ever from her-I was shocked!!
Your floor looks GREAT!!! We have a fixer uper house and can't wait to get dig into it!! We are just doing one room at a time and this next month it will be our living room! I hope our will turn out as well as yours is!
We visit Scott and Becca at Scotts parents house in Centerville but Mikes sister is moving to Jorden this month so we are going to be visiting a lot more often! I think we should all get together and visit and let all the kids play!! Where are you guys at again?
Scott and Becca will be in Utah June 26- July 8. So I'll have to keep you posted to let you know when we will be there. We are thinking about the 4th of July so We can have a longer time there! But I'll keep you posted! It would be great to see you!
