Pie

I forgot to take a "before" picture, but if you scroll down you can see my little pumpkin behind Owen in his high chair. :)

And this is the after. I thought I'd try my hand at making a pumpkin pie, because it's my favorite. Too bad I forgot that Kevin doesn't like pumpkin pie. Oops. Anyway, we ate it after dinner tonight and it was fabulous. The best pumpkin pie I've ever had. I couldn't believe it turned out so well my first try. Now I just have to learn to make crust, because that one I bought in the freezer section of the grocery store. lol

We also spent the afternoon picking pears and tomatoes. Boy, do I have a lot of canning to get done. We have a 5 gallon bucket full of ripe tomatoes and 3+ plastic Walmart bags full of pears. Now I just need to decide if I want to do more salsa...it sure requires a whole lot of chopping.

wow!! I think if you actually make the pumpkin from scratch then I think you can get the crust from the frozen section at the store!!! You are better then me!! AWESOME JOB!!!

Aren't you getting all domestic. Canning, salsa, pies from scratch.

Mom sure raised domestic daughters...what happened to Marisa? She doesn't make anything from scratch or sew. :)
