Spontaneous Trip to Moab.

Kevin seems to have worked every single Saturday since he started his new job. He worked this Saturday too. He woke up Sunday and wanted to take a break. We quickly decided to head down to Moab for the day. We got the Jeep packed and the kid's ready as fast as we possibly could and headed out about 9:30 am. It is about a 3 hour drive to Moab and the kid's were fantastic. We got to Moab and headed out to the trail "On Top of the World" which is very aptly named as when you get to the top you can see quite a ways.
The bottom of the trail had no snow, but as we got closer to the top there were still about 3 inches up there. The view, as always, was spectacular.

Another view...it's too bad the camera doesn't quite capture the coolness of being up there.

The kids had a great time. They love to go "Jeeping"

I love Moab. It is such a beautiful place. I am so excited for our long trip there in a few weeks.
We had a wonderful time, the weather was great and Kevin got to have a fun day before he has to head back to work for another 6 long days in a row.
On our way back into town Tyler announced that he was sick and a few minutes later threw up all over himself in the car. So we got side tracked for a bit to try and clean that up the best that we could. A little bit later, just as we were in the drive-thru getting dinner Owen also decided he was sick, but this time we were ready and he threw up in a cup. So mom and dad were the only ones getting dinner. We left Moab about 7pm and the sick kiddos slept almost all the way home. They are feeling fine today, so we are wondering if maybe they were just car sick. We'll have to invest in some kid's Dramamine for our next trip.

Sounds like fun! As long as I lived in UT, I have never been to Moab. I keep hearing how fun it is.
Love the pic of your kids, they're too cute! Next time you know to go prepared with barf bags or something!
