Date Night

For our date night last night Kevin and I went to a body building competition. One of Kevin's friends at work has been training to compete just for fun. There was also a girl category, but none of them looked anything like the professional girl body builders. I couldn't get any really good pictures of them.



This is Kevin's friend Shaun doing his "routine." The judging was all done earlier in the day, so this part was just for audience. Everyone chose their own music and did a fun little show off number. I sadly missed most of it because I was trying to get pictures taken.



This picture stinks, but it is of the celebrity female body builder that came. She was runner up as Miss Universe just 2 weeks ago. She totally looked like a man.



These are the top 5 of the girls...as you can see, no where near as big as the professional. They just look like hot bikini models.



Kevin's friend Shaun is in the purple. He won the first 4 of his competitions. It was acually pretty exciting. He won Novice Heavyweight, Junior Masters (35-40 year olds), Overall Novice and the Open Heavyweight division. This is him competing for the huge Overall trophy. I really thought he had it, but he got 2nd to the guy with the skunk stripes on his head.

We weren't successful at getting any good pictures of Mr. Universe, but that is him behind Shaun. He is 40 pounds bigger (all muscle) than Shaun.

It was actually a pretty fun night and after it was done we went out with Shaun to get some real food since he has been dieting for months for this competition. We were hoping for a good restaurant, but it was almost 11 pm by the time it was over, so we had to settle for Denny's. He drank almost 2 liters of water all by himself during dinner.
