I actually got the pictures in the right order!! Our little Miss Emily turned 6 yesterday. She was so excited.
We weren't sure if we should get her a guitar or not, but she really seemed to want one. I don't know that she is old enough to actually learn to play yet, but she likes to pretend to play it. We forgot about tuning it when we bought it and since we don't have a piano we need to go and get an electronic tuner so it will at least sound somewhat decent when she plays. It did come with some cards to teach some cords, but since Kevin and I know nothing about guitars, who knows if we'll be able to teach her anything.
She also got some art stuff. This is an easel because she loves to color and draw pictures. She also got a bunch of crayons, markers, etc to go with it.
Emily decided that she wanted cupcakes instead of a cake this year. She helped me make the cupcakes and tried helping with the frosting, but she had a hard time with it.
And our Jack playing with the garbage from all her new stuff.

Emily looks super excited for her bday! Maybe you should have gotten her one of those harp things from Deseret Book, those come with "sheet music" :)
