Here is our garden today. The first round of corn we planted is as tall as the fence and we should be getting some corn to eat in the next week or two. There will be way more than we can eat, so we are going to can some and freeze some. We really need to start cleaning up the house so that we can find somewhere to put all this food we are going to have soon.
Our first attempt at apricot jam seems to have been successful. All the jars sealed properly and it doesn't taste half bad. Kevin actually likes it a lot. We had more ripe apricots again yesterday so we decided to try apricot-pineapple jam. We got the idea from the little old lady who is also using our apricots, that is they kind of jam she is making. I like it better than plain apricot. The pineapple gives it a nice little kick.

I think it's a great color! ...and yes, it does match the tile. Can you sent me some jam? :)
You're so awesome and self-sufficient and all that. Your garden looks great and I'm glad you figured out canning. I've always been to intimidated to even consider it.
Yeah, the worst part of foster care is never knowing what's going on. Nothing ever happens the way the case worker says. But, we're still going to do it again.
sounds like you had a good time on your vacation. :) Your bathroom looks great, I like the color.
